Popular and tireless Local 518 musician Pat Tiernan – singer and guitarist for the band Odus Budd, as well as a solo performer – passed away suddenly on Tuesday (July 24).

Calling hours will be held at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home in Rensselaer from 4-7pm on Sunday (July 29). His funeral will be held at the funeral home at 11am on Monday.

At 7pm tonight (Thursday, July 26), A Celebration of Life: Pat Tiernan Benefit concert will be held at the Bayou in Albany – one of the many places throughout the Capital Region where Tiernan performed regularly.

Pat touched so many lives in the Capital Region whether he was on stage or off. Come and share your story about Pat, listen to great music and celebrate a remarkable person.

Pat’s music will be played throughout the night along with live performances by many of Nippertown’s finest musicians, including Erin Harkes, Frankie Lessard, Mirk, Brian LaPoint, Brian Tiernan and others.

Donations will be accepted at the venue and will immediately help Pat’s family in this difficult time.

Graney’s Stout in Albany will also be hosting a benefit fundraiser on Tuesday night for Pat’s family. Any musicians that want to participate, please contact Stout. Tiernan performed at Stout weekly on Tuesday nights.
