Local 518 creative marketing company Overit Media in Albany is hosting its first art exhibition form 5-9pm tonight (Friday, October 4) in conjunction with Albany’s First Friday arts walk. And it’s no surprise that the exhibit has a decidedly musical bent, considering that Overit’s president and CEO is drummer Dan Dinsmore, best known for his stint behind the kit for Clay People and currently manning the drum throne for Owl.

Overit moved from Albany’s Robinson Square to its current location in the former St. Theresa of Avila church on New Scotland Avenue last year, converting the Depression-era church into a home for 21st-century multimedia technology. And now art exhibit space, as well…

Co-curated by Michelle Toch Dinsmore (of Overit) and Katie McKrell (of the MeKrells), tonight’s exhibit is simply titled “Art by Musicians,” and the curators plan that it will be the first in a series of upcoming art exhibitions as Art at Overit.
