Real Good for FREE: NYS Writers Institute Film Series

In addition to a series of readings by acclaimed authors, poets and journalists, the New York State Writers Institute also presents a film series. The films will be screened at UAlbany’s Page Hall in Albany on Friday evenings. Admission is free.

The series starts on Friday (February 8) with the classic “Russian Ark.”

NYS Writers Institute’s 2012 Schedule of Readings

The New York State Writers Institute at the University at Albany has announced its 2012 schedule of readings by visiting writers and film series screenings.

The readings, seminars, performances and other events take place on the UAlbany uptown campus, unless otherwise noted. All events are free, unless otherwise noted.

Here’s the fall 2012 schedule:

The New York State Writers Institute has announced its schedule of readings and classic films for the 2010 spring season, and not surprisingly, there are more than a few heavyweights on the slate.
