Musical Tools for Schenectady Schools

Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

It’s not news.

School budgets are being slashed dramatically, and the arts always seem to be among the first targets of the budget-cutters.

But the volunteer organisation Schenectady Friends of Music is doing something about about it with their Musical Tools for Schenectady Schools program, which seeks donations of musical instruments for the Schenectady City School system.

The Musical Tools for Schenectady Schools program began a year ago to help encourage donations of pre-owned instruments for use by local students. Last year’s campaign resulted in more than 150 donated instruments.
