ArtBeat: Liz Hickok’s “Rainstorm: North Adams in Jell-O”

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

Yes, we love the artwork of Liz Hickok, and we’ve written about it before. Really, how could you not love the work of an artist whose medium is Jell-O?

Anyway, here’s one of her latest projects, which she developed during a week-long residency at MASS MoCA’s Kidspace in North Adams, Mass. recently. It’s a collaboration with the students of two second grade classes at Brayton Elementary School.

Find out more about the project here.

ArtBeat: Jell-O artist Liz Hickok

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Just take a look at her eye-popping, color-saturated “San Francisco in Jell-O” series.

And it looks like Hickok will be headed into Nippertown in the fall to be part of a group exhibition at MASS MoCA titled “You Art What You Eat.”
