Mara Superior: A Swan's Wedding Day

Mara Superior: A Swan's Wedding Day

As we mentioned before, we had fun at Pittsfield’s Third Thursday last week, but the best part of the day was finally making it to the Leslie Ferrin Gallery, which we had heard so much about but never visited.

The current exhibit showcases Pittsfield artist Joe Goodwin’s glowing abstract acrylic paintings and Lucy Feller’s evocative “Wish You Were Near” postcard series, but the bright and spacious gallery has room for both solo exhibitions and separate sections for ceramics works, ceramic teapots, and individual works.

Well, there goes the afternoon.

Click to watch Ferrin Gallery artist Richard Notkin create works art on a live web stream from the Hot Shop of the Museum of Glass. Utterly fascinating.

(Thanks to Leslie Ferrin of the Ferrin Gallery in Pittsfield.)
