Shelnutt Gallery Hosts Japan Relief Art Exhibit and Auction

Beginning today, the Shelnutt Gallery is hosting a two-day exhibition and silent auction of small art works at the RPI Student Union in Troy to benefit the Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief efforts. Nearly two dozen artists who have exhibited at the Shelnutt Gallery over the past decade have each generously donated a painting or other artwork for the auction. All proceeds from the auction will go to the RPI RELIEF: SUPPORT FOR JAPAN fund.

The Elevens in Northampton is hosting “Relief for Japan: A Benefit Show” at 10pm on Wednesday.

Death Vessel, Winterpills, the Trials and Tribulations, Yume and Tongue Oven are donating their time and talent to help out with a benefit for the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Doors open at 9:30pm. Suggested donation at the door is $10. All proceeds will benefit Direct Relief International.
