Fall Festival Fever

Yes, it’s sad but true.

Summertime has come … and gone … for another year.

But now ain’t the time for your tears. Outdoor music in Nippertown doesn’t just shut down after Labor Day. In fact, there’s still quite a cornucopia of festivals coming our way for the autumn season.

Here’s a quick look at some of the highlights of what’s coming up in the next couple of weeks on the fall festival circuit:

More Merchant Music: 2nd Show by Natalie at Shaker Meeting House

natalie-merchantDespite ticket prices that ranged from $50 to $150, the benefit concert by former 10,000 Maniacs frontwoman Natalie Merchant at the intimate 1848 Shaker Meeting House in Colonie sold out in just a few hours when they went on sale last Saturday.

So, now a second concert has been added. The sold-out concert takes place at 1:30pm on Sunday, September 27, and Ms. Merchant will now also perform another show at 5pm the same day.

Tickets for the second concert are currently on sale, and prices remain the same. Shelving Rock will open, and proceeds will once again benefit the Shaker Heritage Society.
