“The first record that I ever bought was not surprisingly a traditional Irish album by a guy called Joe Burke, who is just one of the great Irish traditional accordionists, an incredible classic accordion player.”

Gregory Grene straps on his accordion to join his bandmates in the Prodigals as they squeeze out a big blast of their hot-wired jig-punk at the Irish 2000 Music & Arts Festival on Saturday (September 15). The fest takes over the Saratoga County Fairgrounds in Ballston Spa beginning at 5pm tonight (Friday) and at 11:45am on Saturday. The Prodigals are slated to hit the stage at 7:35pm on Saturday, followed by a reunion of the Prodigals’ bandmembers past and present at 8:30pm.
