Once again Mass MoCA has struck musical gold as they announced the April 14, 2012 booking of Emily King, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter. I would describe her as a practitioner of “gentle soul” with a haunting mix of blues, R&B, and light rock. Her unique voice and styling has made her a fixture on the New York City music scene for the past several years. calls her “one of those rare industry gems that’s just oozing with raw talent. She doesn’t need lights, auto-tune or pyrotechnics to sell records.”

She and her band will weave a spell on listeners, especially in the close, cabaret like setting of Club B-10 at Mass MoCA.
