A progressive topical songwriter of the ’50 and ’60s, Reynolds is best known for her satiric song “Little Boxes” (the theme for the Showtime series “Weeds”) and the wistfully nostalgic song “Turn Around” (which was a hit for Harry Belafonte. Her songs have also been recorded by Joan Baez, Judy Collins, the Seekers, Pete Seeger, the Limeliters and many others.
Selections from Reynolds vast songbag will be performed on Saturday by the eclectic Annie & the Hedonists, hepcats Addie & Olin, hammered dulcimer master Bill Spence, folksinger George Ward, singer-songwriter Debra Burger and singer-guitarist Roger Mock.
The evening will be begin with dinner at 6pm, followed by the concert at 8pm. Tix are $25; children 12 and under $12. Concert-only tix are available for $15/$5. Proceeds will benefit the Old Songs Capital Fund.
