Led by lead singer Adam Duritz, Counting Crows winged their way back to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs on Tuesday night (September 1), with Citizen Cope and Hollis Brown opening the show.

LIVE: Citizen Cope @ Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, 4/1/15

When Citizen Cope brought his solo acoustic show to the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall earlier this month, we had no idea that it was just the beginning of several concerts that he’s be performing around Greater Nippertown.

But since his Music Hall performance, it’s been announced that he would also be playing with his band at the Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival in Croton Point on Saturday, June 20, in addition to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center with Counting Crows and Hollis Brown on Tuesday, September 1.

But, of course, those shows won’t be anything like the warm, soulful performance at the intimate and acoustically spakling Troy Savings Bank Music Hall…

Live: O.A.R. @ SPAC, 8/1/10

O.A.R.



O.A.R.’s annual appearance at SPAC ushered in the first day of August and the continuance of the proverbial ‘dog days of summer.’ On a warm, rain-free evening, the band’s opener, “The Wanderer” (the title track from their first album back in 1997), set the tone for the two-hour-plus concert.

Marc Roberge, the band’s acoustic-guitar wielding front man, sang the O.A.R. repertoire with passion and energy. His bandmates followed suit with saxophonist Jerry DePizzo blowing up a storm, while electric guitarist Richard On added licks when and where needed.
