And the Winner is…

At the final round of the Capital Region’s Got Talent competition at Revolution Hall in Troy on Friday, the six finalists each performed original songs.

And at the end of the evening the grand prize winner of $5,000 was announced:

OK, this singing competition has been going on for six weeks now, and we’re down to the final round.

Six local singers compete for the Capital Region’s Got Talent grand prize of $5,000 tonight (Friday, October 16) at Revolution Hall in Troy. The finalists are:

Sharon MacPherson
Courtney Biondo
Eric Margan
Danielle Gaudin
Danielle Mozeleski
James Dowen

The competition is sure to be fierce, and the contest ups the ante this week by requiring each singer to be judged on their singing of two original songs.

FINALISTS: Capital Region’s Got Talent

Thursday night’s semi-final round of Capital Region’s Got Talent found 11 competitors duking it out for the big $5,000 grand prize in the ongoing singing competition.

And at the end of the night, five of them went home unhappy.

But six more moved on to the finals, which are taking place at Revolution Hall in Troy on Friday, October 16.

When the judges – Revolution Hall general manager Jared Kingsley, Daily Gazette music writer Brian McElhiney and College of Saint Rose Music Industry program director Sister Mary Anne Nelson – tallied up their votes, the finalists were:

Courtney Biondo
Eric Margan
Danielle Gaudin
Danielle Mozeleski

The remaining contestants still had one hope remaining, and when the audience votes from the packed house were finally counted, there was one more wild-card finalist added to next week’s final competition:
James Dowen
