Albany’s annual Capital Pride Festival filled Washington Park with a variety of music from “American Idol” alum Kimberley Locke, up-and-coming British dance-floor queen Neon Hitch and a pair of local Nippertown favorites – the 7th Squeeze and the Erin Harkes Band.
Headlining the fest is Kimberley Locke, the “American Idol” alum (second runner-up in 2003), who has gone on to rack up four No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Dance Music charts and star in VH1’s “Celebrity Fit Club.” She’s currently touring in support of her latest EP, “Four for the Floor,” featuring the single “Finally Free.”
Also featured at Pride Fest will be Neon Hitch, the British singer-songwriter-dance floor fave who is poised for a major breakthrough this year. She’s featured on the Gym Class Heroes’ hit “Ass Back Home”; her own controversial, super-sexy single, “Fuck U Betta,” is burnin’ up on YouTube; and she’s about to release her debut album on Warner Bros., “Beg, Borrow and Steal,” later this month.
