1. THE FIRST ALBUM I EVER BOUGHT WAS … First tape – Michael Jackson’s Bad. First CD – Pearl Jam’s Vs.

2. THE FIRST CONCERT THAT I EVER SAW WAS … With my mom: MC Hammer. On my own: Silkworm with Granddaddy.

3. THE FIRST MUSICAL INSTRUMENT I EVER OWNED OR PLAYED WAS … 1994 Mexican made Fender precision bass. Had it 18 years until last year when it was stolen while I was on tour in Poland.

4. THE FIRST SONG THAT I EVER PERFORMED IN PUBLIC WAS … No idea. Probably some Nirvana cover in high school.

5. THE FIRST BAND I WAS EVER IN WAS … Los Asnos Muertos, when I was 15 years old. Didn’t last long.

Solo bassist C.J. Boyd shares the bill with singer-songwriter Liv Carrow at the Spotty Dog in Hudson at 8pm tonight (Friday, February 1). Admission is $5.
