DeVoe Park in Gloversville is playing host to a three-day music festival, the Labor Day Weekend Blowout, beginning on Friday.
Headlining the event are veteran southern rockers Blackfoot, who will be performing at 4pm on Sunday. But there also promises to be many, many local bands performing all throughout the weekend, including Permagrin, Side Track, Grin Reaper, Tolman Town, Black Lagoon, Bigg Phatz, Synwave, Mortuary, Deranged, Red Neck Hippie Punks, Halfy and Positive Mental Trip.
The Blowout also features a classic car show on Saturday and a motorcycle show on Sunday. Trophies will be awarded in such categories as best bike in show, best paint job best engine, among others.
It’s $25 for a weekend pass, or $10 per day for a daily pass. The gates open at 10 a.m. each day, and proceeds will benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
