It’s the biggest music fest weekend of the year with the Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival at SPAC, the Solid Sound Festival at MASS MoCA and the Old Songs Festival at the Altamont Fairgrounds.

But maybe you want another choice. Or perhaps what you’re looking for is a music fest that you don’t have to reach into your wallet for.

Yeah, we got that, too. Just head downriver to Riverfront Park in Beacon, where the second annual Beacon Riverfest is taking place on Saturday. Of course, there will be plenty of food and crafts, but the main attraction is the eclectic array of music.

Beacon Riverfest

Local 845 – the local concert production group helmed by singer-songwriter Stephen Clair – has been regularly presenting concerts and club shows at such Beacon venues as the Howland Cultural Center and the Piggy Bank for more than a year now.

But now Local 845 is taking a big step forward with the announcement of Beacon Riverfest, the first-ever live music festival in Beacon’s renovated Riverfront Park.

The free fest will take place on Saturday, June 26, beginning at 2pm and ending at dusk. It’s a rain-or-shine bash.

There’s a little something for everyone at the fest. Here’s the line-up:
