If you’re in downtown Albany on Saturday, and the Albany Riverfront Jazz Fest isn’t your thing, you might want to head over to the Barrel Saloon Rock & Roll Country Bar for the inaugural Barrel Fest celebration.
The fest – which is actually being held outdoors in the park across the street from the Barrel Saloon – will feature music by Jonesville and Skeeter Creek. You’ll also be able to test your strength in the keg roll, tire roll and lasso competitions. And, of course, don’t forget the Barrel’s mechanical bull.
Plenty of food – including smoked pulled pork, burgers, hotdogs – and beer will be available, too.
Admission is $10, and a portion of the proceeds from the gate will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
