Shaun White: Gold Medal or Gold Record?

U.S. snowboarder Shaun White – the superstar Olympic athlete formerly known as “The Flying Tomato” – is the only man to win two gold medals in the halfpipe. And in just a couple of weeks, he’ll be in Sochi attempting to lay claim to a third.

But today, he might be more focused on a gold record than another gold medal. You see, today marks Warner Brothers Records’ release of the self-titled debut album by Bad Things, the Los Angeles-based rock band that features lead singer Davis LeDuke, bassist Jared Palomar (formerly of Augustana), guitarist Anthony Sanudo, drummer Lena Zawaideh and lead guitarist – yup, you guessed it – Shaun White.

And on the heels of the Bad Things’ album release, NBC-TV is slated to air “Shaun White: Russia Calling” at 8pm on Saturday, January 25.
