Songwriting Workshops at Fuzz Records

The recently formed Albany Music Coalition is sponsoring “Deciphering Songs,” a series of three workshops that explore the art of songwriting from several different angles. The workshops will feature a number of Nippertown’s most prominent experienced songwriters as they form panel discussions to focus on lyrics, instrumentals and arrangements.


Albany Music Coalition Launches With Kick-Off Concert @ Valentine’s, 4/13/12

The newly formed Albany Music Coalition celebrates with its launch event at Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany at 8pm on Friday. Co-founded by Katie Hammon (director of operations at the Palace Theatre and musician with Bear Grass and Slender Shoulders) and Harith Saam (founder and president of The Rev Records), AMC aims to “share ideas, information, and resources to benefit the Albany music community.”


There’s a New Organization in Town: The Albany Music Coalition

In an effort to help coordinate and bring together the Nippertown music community, a group of Local 518 musicians and fans have formed the Albany Music Coalition.

The new organization aims to serve as an informational resource for the Capital Regionโ€™s diverse music community, as well as hosting and publicizing performances, creative gatherings and educational programs throughout the area.
