Wednesday, September 8th, 2010Hump Day Unusual Moment: Pesnyary’s Rushniki
Wednesday, September 1st, 2010Pesnyary was a nine piece Belarusian folk/rock band. Here’s their 1971 hit, Rushniki, featuring psychedelic/surf guitar over a distinctively modern sounding breakbeat. It ends with a bang, and then cuts to a rather hilarious shot of a completely underwhelmed audience.

Saturday Janka was driving near a river.

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010Yup, that’s classical piano superstar Lang Lang playing “Flight of the Bumblebee” on his iPad using just two fingers. It was the first of three encores he performed in concert at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco on April 19.
