Another Concert Cancelled at St. Rose’s Massry Center

February 6th, 2018, 9:00 am by Greg

The Premiere Performances concert series at the College of St. Rose’s Massy Center for the Arts has taken another hit, after already suffering two cancellations, one postponement and low attendance earlier this season.

The third concert cancellation of the season is the performance by Australian blues-rock organist Lachy Doley, which was originally slated to take place on Saturday, March 3. The concert has been cancelled due to “complications with the artist’s procurement of a visa allowing him to perform in the United States,” according to a press release from the college.

Refunds are available at the place of purchase.

It seems that the Massry Center has had a change of direction and bookings. I have attended several shows there in the past, but lately nothing has appealed to me. I’d like to think that this is just a temporary adjustment and will return to the great shows it has had since its inception.
