MUSIC: The Regrettes @ the Low Beat, Albany. Led by 17-year-old Lydia Night, the bad-ass LA-based band makes their Greater Nippertown debut in support of their debut Warner Bros. album, Feel Your Feelings Fool!, which is popping up on lots of Best of the Year lists. With Mystery Girl. 6pm. $10.

MUSIC: Jim Brickman @ Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. The Grammy nominated songwriter and pianist makes a stop in the Collar City on his “A Joyous Christmas” Tour. 7:30pm. $25, $34 & $42.

MUSIC: Bon Iver @ the Calvin Theatre, Northampton. Indie singer-songwriter fave Justin Vernon and band usher in a good winter. 8pm. $41.50, $56.50 & $76.50.

DANCE: Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. The 25th Anniversary Tour features over-the-top production, world-class dancers, larger-than-life puppets, nesting dolls and glorious costumes bringing the Christmas spirit to life. 7pm. $31, $40.50, $51 & $71.

THEATER: “Finding Neverland” @ Proctors, Schenectady. Based on the Academy Award-winning film, the stage musical follows the relationship between playwright J.M. Barrie and the family that inspired Peter Pan, one of the most beloved stories of all time. Directed by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus. 7:30pm. Through Sunday.

MUSIC: The Chinese Music Ensemble @ Williams College’s Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall, Williamstown. The ensemble’s fall concert, “In a Festive Mood,” features traditional and contemporary pieces performed on such instruments as the zheng, erhu, yangqin and zhongruan. 7pm. FREE.
