The Blind Boys of Alabama have enjoyed accolades and awards from all parts of the music world, including a remarkable five Grammy Awards, Lifetime Achievement Awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, as well as an induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. And just last week, the veteran gospel group earned another Grammy nomination in the Best American Roots Performance category for “Let My Mother Live.”

The Blind Boys are headed into the Cohoes Music Hall at 8pm on Saturday (December 9) for a special concert featuring songs from their Talkin’ Christmas! album as well as the band’s previous Grammy Award-winning Christmas recording, Go Tell It on the Mountain, along with other Blind Boys’ gospel classics.

    Saw these guys for the first time on a date. It was an amazing show and it worked out pretty well. Seventeen years and four kids later it would be great see them again. Winning the tickets would be a good excuse to get out of the house to see a fantastic show. Did I mention I have four kids?
