MUSIC: Spoon @ Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park. They’re Austin’s most esteemed rock ambassadors, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down with their ninth album, Hot Thoughts, which is landing on lots of Best of 2017 lists. With White Reaper. 8pm. $30.

MUSIC: Darlene Love @ Colony, Woodstock. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer sings her hits – “He’s a Rebel,” “The Boy I’m Gonna Marry,””Wait `Til My Bobby Gets Home,” “He’s Sure the Boy I Love” and the #1 holiday classic “Christmas Baby Please Come Home.” 8pm. $45.

MUSIC: Chuck Lamb Trio @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. The pianist and his band are joined by special guest jazz guitarist Vic Juris. 7pm. $22.

THEATER: “Finding Neverland” @ Proctors, Schenectady. It’s opening night! Based on the Academy Award-winning film, the stage musical follows the relationship between playwright J.M. Barrie and the family that inspired Peter Pan, one of the most beloved stories of all time. Directed by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus. 7:30pm. Through Sunday.

MUSIC: Big Soul Ensemble @ the Van Dyck, Schenectady. Saxman Keith Pray leads his 21st century big band. 8pm. FREE.

THEATER: “She Loves Me” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. The romantic musical is a Broadway classic with six Tony nominations garnered by its recent NYC revival. MUSIC: Small Jazz Ensembles @ Williams College’s Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall, Williamstown. Led by John Wheeler, the first group performs original works in the jazz idiom composed by ensemble members and featuring vocalist Sofia Smith and fretless electric bassist Jason Ennis. The second group is directed by Avery Sharpe. 7pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Silver Arrow Band @ Parish Public House, Albany. 8pm. FREE.

OPEN MIC: Open Mic with Cameron & Ryder @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. 6pm sign-up; 7pm show. FREE.
