THEATER: “Fun Home” @ Proctors, Schenectady. The winner of five 2015 Tony Awards – including Best Musical – is based on Alison Bechdel’s best-selling graphic memoir, introducing audiences to Alison at three different ages as she explores and unravels the many mysteries of her childhood. 7:30pm.

THEATER: “Ghosts of War” @ UAlbany Performing Arts Center, Albany. Chicago’s Griffin Theatre Company has adapted Capital Region native and UAlbany alum Ryan Smithson’s memoir for the stage. Inspired by the patriotism following 9/11, the author’s experience of enlisting in the Army at the age of 17, undergoing the disciplinary harshness of basic training and living through the fire of combat are explored in this unflinchingly honest portrayal of the war in Iraq. Followed by a discussion with Smithson. 7:30pm. $20; students & seniors $15.
