Currently tearing it up on NBC-TV’s hit singing competition show “The Voice,” 16-year-old Shaker High School student Moriah Formica returns to Greater Nippertown for an all-ages homecoming concert at Jupiter Hall in Guilderland at 8pm on Friday, November 24. The show will be a full-band, unplugged show, and Formica will do a meet-and-greet session following the performance. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $8 in advance; $10 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Dixie Dregs’ original line-up is reuniting, and they’ll be making a tour stop at The Egg’s Hart Theatre.

New shows added to the calendar at the Bardavon 1869 Opera House in Poughkeepsie range from the sublime to the ridiculous. His career spans more than a half century, and he’s sold more than 100 million records. Now Sir Tom Jones – “It’s Not Unusual,” “Delilah,” “What’s New Pussycat,” “Kiss” – will play the 2018 Bardavon Gala at 7pm on Tuesday, May 1. Priced at $225 & $275, tickets go on sale to the general public at 11am on Friday, November 17… Meanwhile, Weird Al Yankovic kicks off his 70-plus city Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour at 7:30pm on Tuesday, February 27. Comedian Emo Phillips will open the show. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $44 & $64.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy announced its fall season of concerts and other events, including Nano Stern.

Club Helsinki in Hudson has bolstered the remainder of its 2017 concert calendar with the addition of the blues-gospel rockin’ Alexis P. Suter Band at 9pm on Saturday, November 11 ($18-$22); the return of Justin Townes Earle with Joshua Hedley at 8pm on Sunday, November 19 ($25-$35); Tarbox Ramblers at 9pm on Saturday, November 25 ($15-$18); and drag queen Hedda Lettuce’s “Lettuce Rejoice Holiday Spectacular” at 7pm on Sunday, December 17 ($20).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Australian guitar wizard Tommy Emmanuel returns to Greater Nippertown for a concert with singer-songwriter Suzy Bogguss at The Egg. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 11am on Friday (October 27).

The Van Dyck in Schenectady welcomes the Steely Dan tribute band Reelin’ in the Years for two shows (7 & 9pm) on Friday, December 8. Tickets are $20 in advance; $24 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Albany’s Times Union Center is hosting the Crew Love Concert Series Tour featuring DMX, G-Unit, The Diplomats, Drag-On, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Tony Yayo, Freeway, Beanie Sigel, Peedi Crakk and Young Gunz. Tickets are on sale now.

The Matt Flinner Trio is returning to Greater Nippertown for a pair of tour stops next month. They’ll play at Wolf Hollow Brewing in Glenville on Wednesday, November 15 ($20) before heading up to the Cock ‘N Bull in Galway on Thursday, November 16 ($TBA).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Local 518ers Eastbound Jesus are bringing their brand of northern rock to the Cohoes Music Hall with Floodwood opening the show. Tickets are now on sale.

Upcoming at Colony in Woodstock are guitar master Arlen Roth at 8pm on Friday, November 24 ($25 in advance; $30 at the door); Stephen Clair & the Pushbacks with Sweet Clementines at 8pm on Thursday, November 30 ($10 in advance; $12 at the door); and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Darlene Love’s “In Love for the Holidays” show at 8pm on Tuesday, December 5 ($40 in advance; $45 at the door).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Texas guitarslinger Eric Johnson is bringing his electric band back to the Cohoes Music Hall. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (October 27).

CANCELLED: The Moody Blues’ bassist John Lodge was slated to bring his 10,000 Light Years Tour to The Egg’s Hart Theatre on Saturday, October 28, but the concert has been cancelled due to “scheduling conflicts.”

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Bluegrass greats the Gibson Brothers Trio are playing a benefit concert for Saratoga PLAN at the Wm. H. Buckley Farm in Ballston Spa.

The Beach Boys (led by Mike Love) are slated to take the stage at the Ulster Performing Arts Center in Kingston at 3pm on Sunday, March 18. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $48, $68 & $128.
