Jupiter Hall in Guilderland is hosting 100.9 The Cat’s acoustic contemporary country concert Chicks with Picks at 8pm on Thursday (October 19) featuring Lindsay Ell, Danielle Bradbury, Brook Eden and Stephanie Quayle. Tickets are $20; VIP $35, with a portion of sales to benefit the American Cancer Society.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Joe Russo’s Almost Dead is bringing the music of the Grateful Dead to life at Albany’s Palace Theatre. Tickets go on sale at 1pm Friday (October 20).

Clifton Park’s Upstate Concert Hall has booked a couple of new concerts to get you through the winter. Rapper-foodie Action Bronson brings his Blue Chips 7000 Tour to town at 8pm on Friday, December 8. Priced at $27.50 in advance; $30 at the door, tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (October 20). Meanwhile, California reggae band Rebelution takes the stage on Thursday, January 11 with Raging Fyah opening the show at 8pm. Priced at $25, tickets go on sale at 10am on Thursday (October 19).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Brantley Gilbert headlines a contemporary country concert at Albany’s Times Union Center with Aaron Lewis and Josh Phillips in support. Tickets go on sale at 10am Friday (October 20).

Barns Courtney returns to the Hollow Bar + Kitchen in Albany at 9pm on Wednesday, November 8. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $18 in advance; $20 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Egg announced two new concerts – Del & Dawg (the duo of bluegrass greats Del McCoury & David Grisman) and veteran British guitarslinger Robin Trower. Tickets for both shows go on sale to the general public at 11am Friday (October 20).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall will play host to the WGNA Jingle Jam concert featuring Josh Turner and LoCash. Tickets are on sale now.

Lookin’ for laughs? The Funny Bone in Guilderland has got ’em with upcoming shows by the Amazing Jonathan (Friday-Sunday, October 20-22), Tony Roberts (October 26-28), Bob Marley (November 1), Christopher Titus (November 9), John Caparulo (November 10) and a pair of “Saturday Night Live” alum – Rob Schneider (December 1 & 2) and Jim Breuer (December 7). Tickets for all shows are now on sale.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Egg is hosting a benefit concert for Puerto Rico hurricane relief, featuring Alex Torres & His Latin Orchestra, Taina Asili y La Banda Rebelde, Bronte Roman and Orquesta Sabor Caribe. Tickets are on sale now.

WAMC-FM’s The Linda welcomes master sitarist, singer and tabla player Ustad Shafaat Khan in concert at 8pm on Saturday, November 18. He’ll be accompanied by Ruby Ostrow (keyboard/vocal), Matt Ostrow (bass) and Matthew Megraw (tabla). Tickets are on sale now, priced at $18.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Taste of Country Music Festival returns to Hunter Mountain in 2018 with newly announced headliners Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line and Sam Hunt. More performers TBA…

Led by Ansel “Meditation” Cridland, veteran reggae group The Meditations are slated to take over Club Helsinki in Hudson at 9pm on Friday, November 3. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $20.

OPENERS: Big Frank & the Bargain Bingers and the Va Va Voodoos will warm up the crowd for The Fleshtones’ matinee concert at the Hangar on the Hudson in Troy on Saturday, November 4.
