Massry Center for the Arts Announces 2017-2018 Concerts

With Amy Helm & the Handsome Strangers’ appearance last weekend, the College of Saint Rose’s Massry Center for the Arts in Albany already hosted the first concert of its 2017-2018 performance season, but now the rest of the schedule has been announced.

Saturday (October 14), 8pm

He was a Best New Artist Grammy Award winner, based on his self-titled 1991 album featuring the platinum hit single, “Walking in Memphis.”

Saturday, October 21, 7:30pm
THE SAINT ROSE CAMERATA

The ensemble opens their 15th season with works by American composers George Crumb, Libby Larsen and Andrew McKenna Lee, Assistant Professor of Music at the College of Saint Rose.

Saturday, October 28, 8pm
GEDEON LUKE & THE PEOPLE

Hailing from the streets of Memphis, the passionate soul singer blends gospel, R&B, rock and more in his energetic concerts.

Saturday, November 11, 7:30pm

The ensemble performs the music of Sweden and America, including works by Gunnar de Fumerie and Andrew McKenna Lee.
