It’s all packed in to one glorious weekend of art, music, wellness and community as the eighth annual O+ Festival takes place this weekend at a number of different locations throughout Kingston. It’s a unique festival of art, music and wellness, wherein artists barter their contributions directly for medical, dental and other health services from art-loving health care providers.

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Amanda Palmer, San Francisco-based rock band Deerhoof, songwriter/guitarist Steve Gunn of Brooklyn, new old-timey band Spirit Family Reunion, New York’s White Hills (psychedelic rock) and Baltimore rap artist Abdu Ali join Hudson Valley favorites The Mammals (Americana/folk), the Big Takeover (Jamaica-meets-Motown) and many more.

Among the other featured performers at the three-day festival are Jouska, Candy Ambulance, Purple Knif, Mister Roper, Paperhaus, Home Body, Ambrosia Parsley & Chris Maxwell and many, many more.

Admission to the festival is available on a pay-what-you-can basis, with VIP tickets also available (including a variety of bonus perks) starting at the $50 level.

PS: Friday night headliner Amanda Palmer has unveiled a new song recorded last week to support immediate relief efforts following the devastation wreaked by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. “Small Hands, Small Heart” is available now for $1 or more via Palmer’s official Bandcamp. All digital proceeds earned from “Small Hands, Small Heart” over the next month will benefit the Hurricane Maria Community Recovery Fund.
