We’d like to send out our congratulations to Greater Nippertown’s own bluegrass kingpins, the Gibson Brothers, who added yet another trophy to their collection at the International Bluegrass Music Association’s awards show last week.

On Thursday, September 28 in Raleigh, North Carolina, the Gibson Brothers walked off with the IBMA award for Best Gospel Recorded Performance of the Year for their song “I Found a Church Today” from their latest album, In the Ground.

No strangers to the IBMA voters, Leigh and Eric Gibson and their band also took top honors in that category in 2010 (for “Ring the Bell”) and 2012 (for “Singing as We Rise”). And throughout the years the Gibsons have been honored by the association numerous times – including winning the prestigious IBMA Entertainer of the Year award in 2012 and again in 2013.
