Moriah Formica Wows ‘Em on “The Voice”

Move over, Sawyer Fredericks. It looks like you’re not the only Greater Nippertown singer to use “The Voice” as a launching pad for a successful music career…

In her national television debut on Monday evening (October 2), 16-year-old Shaker High School student Moriah Formica totally knocked out the celebrity judges of NBC-TV’s “The Voice.” On Week Two of the blind auditions, her wailing performance of Heart’s “Crazy on You” earned her a four-chair turn and high praise from Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, who declared “I think this girl is the next great female rock ‘n’ roll singer.”

Despite the accolades from Levine and the high level of competition between the other judge, Formica chose Miley Cyrus as her coach.
