Some of Greater Nippertown’s finest took the no-pepper stage at the Low Beat last week for a Hurricane Harvey Relief Benefit Concert to raise money for the Galveston County Food Bank.

The line-up of performers included Gay Tastee, Andy Sink & the Pool Boys, Bryan Thomas, Graham Tichy & Ian Carlton, Steve Candlen, knotworking, Elrod/MotherJudge & the Hick Engine Ears and Michael Eck & Friends.

And by the end of the night (well, actually early the next morning when the show finally ended) they had raised more than $1,000 for the cause. A big thanks to all who played and attended, as well as the Low Beat’s Howe Glassman for hosting the bash.

Of course, every little bit helps, and much more aid is needed. So if you’d like to donate, you can pick up a copy of the digital-only compilation album From 518 to 409, featuring the performing musicians. You can name your price for the benefit album. Be generous…

  1. Mike H says:

    Oh what a night….

(If only someone recorded it – what is this, 1976?)

Some things best left in the air…
