FESTIVAL/READING: Read & Feed @ Basilica Hudson, Hudson. A poetry-and-food fest honoring Hudson’s great poet John Ashbery in celebration of his 90th birthday. Including a complete reading of Ashbery’s “Girls on the Run” by Daniel Nester, Ellen Thurston, Sara Wintz, Dara Wier, Rosanne Wasserman, Eugene Richie, Dave King, Danniel Schoonebeek, Rebecca Wolff and more. THEATER: “Oklahoma!” @ Glimmerglass Opera, Cooperstown. Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical revolutionized the genre with its closely integrated book and score, in which a diverse assortment of individuals struggle to create lives for themselves in the newly settled Oklahoma Territory. Hit tunes include “People Will Say We’re in Love,” “I Cain’t Say No,” “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’” and “The Surrey with the Fringe on Top.” 1:30m. Through August 22.
