BURLESQUE: Bing Bamboo Room Burlesque @ the Low Beat, Albany. On the eve of the spring equinox, Albany’s classic burlesque show celebrates the Goddess of Fertility Day. Doors open at 7pm. $15.

THEATER: “An Iliad” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. Lisa Peterson and Denis O’Hare’s adaptation of Homer’s great epic tale fuses words and music in a spare, modern production starring David Barlow. 2pm. Through Sunday, April 2.

MUSIC: Albany Symphony Orchestra @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. Conductor David Alan Miller and the orchestra welcome superhero Captain American: Musical Avenger for a family show featuring the music of John Williams, Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein and others. 3pm. $20; children FREE.
