Tanglewood Announces Two New Concerts

The folks at Tanglewood have added a pair of new concerts to the summer schedule for the Koussevitzky Music Shed in Lenox.

Tickets for both of the new concerts are slated to go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday, February 24. Here’s the details regarding the new shows:

FOUR VOICES
Featuring Joan Baez, Indigo Girls & Mary Chapin Carpenter
Saturday June 17, 7:30pm

The “Four Voices” tour was born from a friendship between Joan Baez, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Amy Ray and Emily Saliers, who originally performed together at a Humanitas benefit concert more than 25 years ago.

With Emmylou Harris and Carlene Carter
Saturday, July 1, 7pm

He scored his big breakthrough hit, “I Need a Lover,” back in 1979, and he’s still going strong, hitting the road again this summer in support of his upcoming album, Sad Clowns and Hillbillies, slated for release in April.
