MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: Celebrating the Legacy of Frank Jaklitsch @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Led by Bobby Long and Good Things, many of the late Frank Jaklitsch’s bandmates and music pals gather to play his songs and raise money for Shaker Veterinary Hospital’s Save-a-Pet Fund. 8pm. $20.

MUSIC: Umphrey’s McGee @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. The band ups the ante by adding the adventurous jazz saxman Joshua Redman to the mix. Oh yeah! With Spafford. 7:30pm. $25, $27.50 & $29.50.

MUSIC: Explore! Harp Around the World with Lilac 94 @ Arts Center of the Capital Region, Troy. Rochester-based harp duo of Christina Brier and Kathryn Sloat in a concert sponsored by the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. 1pm. FREE.

FILM/MUSIC: Parsonsfield: “Nanook of the North” @ MASS MoCA’s Hunter Center, North Adams. Local indie-folk heroes Parsonsfield blew minds at FreshGrass 2016 playing live to an excerpt of the iconic Richard Flaherty documentary “Nanook of the North.” Now they’re back to present the world premiere of the whole film and new score. 8pm. $12.

MUSIC: Taylor, Chapin & EVA @ Cohoes Music Hall, Cohoes. A semi-supergroup? Livingston Taylor, Tom Chapin and EVA team up their musical talents. With Yael Deckelbaum & Kristin Hoffmann. 7:30pm. $39, $49 & $69.

THEATER: “One-Man Star Wars Trilogy” @ Proctors’ GE Theatre, Schenectady. Created and brought to life on stage by Canadian actor Charles Ross, the theater work is just what it seems – a live solo performance of “A New Hope,” “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi.” 3:30 & 7:30pm. $30.

MUSIC: Born Thirsty @ Irish American Club, Amsterdam. It’s the band’s farewell performance before Evan Gavry & Laura Jean Dargus relocate to New Orleans. With Turkey, Junk Rocket and special guest Evan Conway. 7pm. $5 suggested donation.

MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: Winter Warm-Up @ The Linda, Albany. Four bands – Caroline Doctorow, the Matchstick Architects, SubSlab and Jasper – play a benefit concert for WAMC-FM and The Linda. 7:30pm. $10.

MUSIC: C. Jane Run @ the Low Beat, Albany. It’s reunion time. With 3 Minute Pop. 8pm.

DANCE/VIDEO: “Tesseract” @ EMPAC at RPI, Troy. The new two-part work by artist Charles Atlas and choreographers Rashaun Mitchell and Silas Riener will be presented for the first time tonight (Saturday, January 28) following several years of development at EMPAC. 8pm. $18; $13 students & seniors.

COMEDY: Pretty Much the Best Comedy Show @ Proctors’ Underground, Schenectady. Seth Herzog – a regular sketch performer for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” – headlines the show. 8pm. $20.
