Club Helsinki in Hudson welcomes the roots music duo of Rhiannon Giddens & Dirk Powell at 9pm on Friday, March 3 ($45 & $55); Elise Testone at 9pm on Friday, March 24 ($12); and Bridget Kearney at 9pm on Saturday, April 22 ($15).

Hollis hip-hopster Ja Rule grabs the spotlight at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park at 8pm on Saturday, March 4. Tickets are priced at $25 in advance; $25 at the door. And last September they played SPAC as the Zac Brown Band’s opening act, but on Friday, May 19, Drake White & the Big Fire will be returning to Greater Nippertown for a headlining show at UCH. Tickets are $12 in advance; $15 at the door. Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10am on Friday (January 20).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Alt-pop singer-songwriter Aimee Mann is headed into The Egg in Albany in support of her upcoming album, Mental Illness. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 11am on Friday (January 20).

WAMC-FM’s The Linda in Albany, has added several new concerts to their calendar, including the black tie, catered dinner and EP release party for the Young Noble Gentlemen’s Lee Reh solo debut at 6pm on March 4 ($49.99); singer-songwriter Lucy Kaplansky at 8pm on Saturday, March 11 ($20); and the return of Garland Jeffreys at 8pm on Saturday, May 6 ($18).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Third Eye Blind’s 20th anniversary tour is slated to make a stop at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center this summer, and the band will play their self-titled debut album in its entirety. Silversun Pickups open the show. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Thursday, January 26.

Led by the big blues-rockin’ behemoth, the Popa Chubby Band returns to the Van Dyck in Schenectady for shows at 7 & 9pm on Friday, February 17, in support of his new album, The Catfish. Tickets are $18 in advance; $22 at the door.

The fab husband-and-wife banjo greats Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn will be pickin’ and frailin’ at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock at 9pm on Saturday, April 8. Tickets go on sale on Thursday (January 19).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: After being cancelled last yesr, Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival is coming back to Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson this summer with a line-up that includes Los Lobos, Lake Street Dive, Alejandro Escovedo, Tommy Emmanuel, Toshi Reagon, the Suitcase Junket, Tom Paxton and lots more.

The Drunken Hearts take the stage of the Parish Public House in Albany at 8pm on March 11 Tickets are $12 in advance; $15 at the door. And Chicago bluegrass/jam band Cornmeal steps into the spotlight on Thursday, March 16 with Brooklyn Americana band Yarn (led by Schenectady native Blake Christiana) opening the show at 8pm. Tickets are $12 in advance; $15 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The line-up of performers has been announced for Caffe Lena’s “The Heart of Saturday Night: Songs of Tom Waits,” and it includes Mark Tolstrup, the trio of Elrod, MotherJudge & McWatters, Girl Blue, Sean Rowe, host Michael Eck and special guest Tom Dimopoulos.

A couple of new concerts are on tap at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock. Assembly of Dust takes the stage at 8pm on Friday, February 17 ($25 & $35), while soul man Eric Redd steps into the spotlight at 8pm on Saturday, March 18 ($20).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Dave Matthews Band won’t be at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center this summer, but Dave Matthews will be teaming up with Tim Reynolds for a pair of duo concerts at SPAC. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday, February 10.

The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield has announced a pair of new shows for its On the Stage series (where the audience is seated onstage with the performers). Singer-songwriter Jeffrey Foucault arrives at 7:30pm on Thursday, February 23 ($25), while Dana Louise & the Glorious Birds land at 7:30pm on Thursday, March 23 ($30).

SOLD OUT: The Lake Street Dive concert at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock on Monday, February 20 is now officially sold out.

The spring season of the Laugh Lounge series at The Garage in Pittsfield has been announced, and it features Myq Kaplan on Thursday, February 16; Kyle Ayers on Thursday, March 16; Emma Willmann on Thursday, April 27; and Joe Zimmerman on Thursday, May 25. The shows take place at 7:30pm, and tickets are just $5.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Zac Brown Band is returning for their sixth consecutive summer at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Tickets go on sale on Friday (January 20).

    Maybe it’s just me but doesn’t SPAC seem a little large for Third Eye Blind? What’s next, Spacehog at the TUC? Maybe I’m way off on this.
