Up in Galway, the Cock ‘n Bull has added a handful of new shows, including Greg Allman Band guitarist Scott Sharrard & Friends at 10:45pm on Saturday, December 31 for a blues-rockin’ New Year’s Eve party. $95 for dinner, show & champagne toast; $30 for show only. Looking ahead to the new year, the Cock ‘n Bull also welcomes acoustic Americana bands Mile Twelve at 7:30pm on January 26 ($15); the Matt Flinner Trio at 7:30pm on Thursday, February 9 ($15); and the Lonely Heartstring Band at 9pm on Friday, February 24 ($15).

Wolf Hollow Brewing Company in Glenville has lined up a batch of new shows for 2017, including Mikey Sweet on Saturday, January 14; the Matt Flinner Trio on Wednesday, February 8; Appalachian Still on Saturday, February 11; the Lazy Suns on Saturday, March 4; Twisted Pine on Saturday, April 8; Damn Tall Buildings on Saturday, April 15; Jim Gaudet & the Railroad Boys on Saturday, May 6; and Ramblin Jug Stompers on Saturday, May 27.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Egg announced a pair of new concerts for 2017 – KT Tunstall and the multi-talented Sarah Jarosz. Tickets go on sale at 11am on Friday (December 16).

The Howlin’ Brothers – a bluesy-bluegrass, roots-rock trio outta Nashville – return to Greater Nippertown for a show at the Low Beat in Albany at 8pm on Monday (December 19). Advance tickets are $7.

Memphis-based Christian rockers Skillet charge into the Upstate Concert Hall at 7pm on Wednesday, February 8 in support of their new album, Unleashed. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (December 16), priced at $25 in advance; $28 at the door. Meanwhile, country music band from deep in the heart of the Lone Star State, the Josh Abbott Band rambles into UCH at 7pm on Thursday, March 2. Priced at $12 in advance; $15 at the door, tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (December 16). Also Florida pop-rockers Mayday Parade bring their A Lesson In Romantics 10th Anniversary Tour to Clifton Park on Sunday, May 7. The show kicks off at 7:30pm with Knuckle Puck and Milestone. Tickets are on sale now priced at $25.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: A Taste of Country Music Festival has added a batch of new country artists to its 2017 line-up at Hunter Mountain, including Miranda Lambert, Chris Young, Kip Moore, Tyler Farr and Maren Morris. Three-day, all-fest tickets are currently available.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Over in North Adams, MASS MoCA announced the schedule of concerts and other events for the winter/spring season, including Mavis Staples, Steven Bernstein’s Universal Melody Brass Band, Miracle Legion, Parsonfield, So Percussion, Jo Firestone, the Whisky Treaty Roadshow, Sam Cohen, Janka Nabay & the Bubu Gang, My Bubba, Phoebe Robinson and more.

The Felice Brothers headline the New Year’s Eve bash at BSP Lounge in Kingston. The festivities kick off at 9pm and also feature DJ Tony Touch, the Big Takeover, Lara Hope & the Arktones, Miss 360, Hudson Valley Circus Arts and more. Early bird tickets are on sale now priced at $30. Also coming up at BSP, the Big Takeover’s CD release party on Saturday, January 14 with Karma Darwin; and Laura Stevenson, Nightmares for a Week and Guilt Mtn on Friday, March 31.

SOLD OUT: Phantogram’s concert at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park on Saturday, January 14 is now officially sold out. No tickets will be available at the door.

Roosevelt Dime fires up their R&B-meets-Americana sound in concert at the Parish Public House in Albany at 8pm on Thursday, January 12. Milkweed opens the show. Tickets are $12.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield announced new concerts by Jimmy Webb, Storm Large, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, the Ten Tenors, Remember When Rock Was Young and more.

Rev Tor’s sixth annual Dead Of Winter Jam celebrates the music of the Grateful Dead at The Garage in Pittsfield at 8pm on Thursday, February 9. Singer-guitarist Tor Krautter and his band will be joined by an array of special guests. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $12 in advance; $15 at the door.
