FUNDRAISER: Albany Center Gallery 40th Anniversary Gala @ Renaissance Albany Hotel, Albany. The Mona Ruth Brickman Memorial Artist of the Year Award will be bestowed upon Tara Fracalossi and the Les Urbach Lifetime Achievement Award to Stuart Horn. Mistress of Ceremonies is the ever-charming Tess Collins, while the Albany Institute of History & Art’s Tammis Groft serves as honorary chair. Music by the Dylan Perrillo Trio. 6pm.

MUSIC: Squirrel Nut Zippers @ The Egg’s Swyer Theatre, Albany. Led by the band’s visionary creator, Jimbo Mathus, the Zippers are back with their eclectic fusion of Delta blues, Gypsy jazz and swing in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their most celebrated album, Hot. 8pm. $34.

MUSIC: Magnetic Fields @ MASS MoCA’s Hunter Center, North Adams.
