COMIN’ SOON: New Concert Announcements

Andy Black (aka, Andy Biersack, Andy Six) of Black Veil Brides steps into the spotlight at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park on Saturday, February 11 in support of his synth-based solo album, The Shadow Side. Opening the show at 7:30pm will be William Control and Palaye Royale. Tickets are $17 in advance; $20 at the door. Also new at UCH, the double-bill of Less Than Jake and Pepper rocks the house at 8pm on Sunday, February 12 ($22.50 in advance; $25 at the door), and British multi-talented musician/producer TroyBoi brings his Mantra Tour at 8pm on Thursday, February 23 ($16 first 500 tickets; $18 thereafter; $20 at the door). Tickets for all three new shows go on sale at 10am on Friday (November 18).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Soul-rockers St. Paul & the Broken Bones, comedian Lisa Lampanelli and Canadian pop-rockers Barenaked Ladies have just been added to the concert calendar at The Egg. Tickets for all three new shows go on sale at 11am on Friday.

Happy Traum’s annual Winter Solstice Concert takes over the Woodstock Playhouse at 8pm on Saturday, December 17. For the fundraiser for the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild, Traum is bringing along a group of his Woodstock all-star friends, including John Sebastian, Pat Alger, Cindy Cashdollar, Zach Djanikian, Paul Rishell & Annie Raines, Eugene Ruffolo and others. Tickets are $27, $47 & $67.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Grammy Award-winning bluegrass band the SteelDrivers and second-generation jazz greats the Brubeck Brothers Quartet will take the stage at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday.

Jazz guitarists John Stowell & Mark Kleinhaut take the stage of Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs at 7:30pm on Wednesday December 7 for a concert to celebrate the release of their new duo album, Cross Country Lines. Tickets are $15; free for youths age 18 & under.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Veteran singer-songwriter Jackson Browne will be joined by multi-instrumentalist Greg Leisz for an upcoming “somewhat acoustic” concert at the Palace Theatre. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (November 18).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Country music hitmaker Brantley Gilbert brings his 2017 concert tour to the Glens Falls Civic Center in support of his upcoming album, The Devil Don’t Sleep. Tucker Beathard, Luke Combs and Brian Davis open the show. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (November 18).

We previously announced Hayes Carll’s concert at Club Helsinki in Hudson on Thursday, December 29, but now it’s been announced that country singer-songwriter Allison Moorer will be joining him.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The New Kids on the Block, Paula Abdul and Boyz II Men team up for the Total Package Tour, slated for a summertime tour stop at Albany’s Times Union Center.

Latin jazz vocalist Maucha Adnet & the Brazilian Trio – featuring pianist Helio Alves, bassist Nilson Matta and drummer Duduka Da Fonseca – play Senate Garage in Kingston at 7:30pm on Saturday, December 3. Tickets are $35.

Jam band pioneers Max Creek are slated to rumble into the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock at 9pm on Saturday, February 18. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $20 in advance; $25 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Young the Giant and opening act Lewis Del Mar are headed into Albany’s Palace Theatre. Also, the Palace will be hosting the return of The Price Is Right Live. Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10am on Friday (November 18).

Matthew Boyce & the Suspicious Minds Tribute Band play a two-set “Vegas style” Elvis Presley tribute concert at the Saratoga Music Hall in Saratoga Springs on Friday, December 2. Tickets for the Saratoga Childrens Theatre fundraising concert are $35, $30 seniors; $15 kids age 18 & under. Doors open at 6:30pm for a light dinner, which is included with admission.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Amy Helm is slated to make a return to the Cohoes Music Hall with Greater Nippertown faves Eastbound Jesus opening the show.

Club Helsinki in Hudson is hosting “Hudson Motown & Soul Session 1” at 8pm on Thursday, December 8, featuring the Sweet Life Music Project, Derrick Horton & the Jay Street Band and other local performers. Tickets are $12 with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Hudson Youth Music Programs.

POSTPONED: Veteran Spa City singer-songwriter Michael Jerling was originally slated to play Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs on Saturday, December 3, but his performance has been postponed to Saturday, February 4.
