Troy Music Hall Announces Eight New Concerts

The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall has announced a big batch of eight new concerts for its 2017 season of shows.

Tickets for the new shows are currently available exclusively to members of the Hall and will go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (October 21).

SAN FERMIN + NOW ENSEMBLE
Thursday, January 26, 7:30pm
Tickets: $25
An intriguing collaboration between the acclaimed Brooklyn-based indie baroque pop band and the new-chamber music group.

1964: THE TRIBUTE
Friday, January 27, 7:30pm
Tickets: $29 & $35
Pre-Sgt. Pepper Beatles tribute band

INTERNATIONAL GUITAR NIGHT
Wednesday, February 8, 7:30pm
Tickets: $29
Gypsy jazz legend Lulo Reinhardt is the guest host, joined by Italy’s innovative contemporary guitarist Luca Stricagnoli; brilliant young Brazilian composer/performer Chrystian Dozza and India’s ground-breaking slide guitarist Debashish Bhattacharya.

“SELECTED SHORTS”

Tickets: $25
The popular weekly National Public Radio show offers an evening of stories – mostly fiction, sometimes classic,
sometimes new – read by great actors who bring the short stories to life. The theme and readers are TBA.

LUNASA
Saturday, March 18, 8pm

Renowned for superb musicianship, the band is internationally acknowledged as being the finest traditional Irish instrumental outfit of recent times.

DAVE DOUGLAS & FRANK WOESTE
Thursday, April 13, 7:30pm

French pianist Frank Woeste and American trumpeter Dave Douglas team up with bassist Yasushi Yakamura and drummer Clarence Penn to play music from their new album, Dada People, inspired by the artwork of Man Ray.

THE WAILIN JENNYS

The acoustic Americana trio of singer-songwriters – Nicky Mehta, Ruth Moody and Heather Masse – return to the Hall.

THE KINGSTON TRIO
