The fourth annual Woodstock Comedy Festival is three days of stand-up, panels and films in venues throughout Woodstock, starring Gilbert Gottfried, Susie Essman (of “Curb Your Enthusiasm”), “The Simpsons” co-creator Mike Reiss, Eddie Brill, Karen Bergreen, Kendra Cunningham, Liz Miele, Jaye McBride and more.

It all takes place Friday-Sunday (September 23-25), and net profits from the fest will go to charities to prevent human trafficking and domestic violence.

This year, comedians won’t be the only ones cracking jokes, either, as the Woodstock Comedy Festival will be teaming up with a dozen local businesses for the “Our Economy is a Joke” promotion on Saturday (September 24). For that day only, festivalgoers will be able to “pay” with jokes (instead of cash) for items such as a large coffee, a slice of pizza or a book from 10am-5pm at participating locations in Woodstock. Participating businesses will be marked with an “Our Economy is a Joke” sign.
