Celebrating 40 years of SuperRock and the release of their new album, The Band Drinks Free, the Fleshtones are slated to roar into the Hangar on the Hudson in Troy (the hometown of Fleshtones drummer Bill Milhizer) for a matinee rock show on Saturday, October 15. Local 518 lounge-rockers Off the Record kick off the festivities at 3pm. Tix are $10 in advance; $15 at the door.

In support of her new album, Exodus of Venus, country singer-songwriter Elizabeth Cook makes a tour stop at Club Helsinki in Hudson at 8pm on Wednesday, October 26. Tickets are $20 in advance; $25 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Legendary singer-songwriter and actor Kris Kristofferson is scheduled to step into the spotlight at The Egg in Albany. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 11am on Friday (September 16).

Wolf Hollow Brewing Company in Glenville has launched their free live music series, and among the upcoming concerts are Jody Radez on Thursday, September 22; Upstate Rubdown on Friday, September 23; the North & South Dakotas on Friday, October 29; Jim Gaudet & the Railroad Boys on Saturday, November 19; and Low Lily on Saturday, December 10.

Multi-talented folk fave Bruce Molsky leads Molsky’s Mountain Drifters featuring guitarist Stash Wyslouch (of the Deadly Gentlemen) and banjo player Allison de Groot (of the Goodbye Girls) into the Cock ‘n Bull in Galway at 8:30pm on Friday, October 14. Tickets are $15.

Hit me, Maceo! Super funky saxman Maceo Parker will be blowing into the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock at 8pm on Sunday, December 11. Tickets are on sale now priced at $38, $48 & $53. Also new on Bearsville’s concert calendar is Allman Brothers tribute band Live at the Fillmore at 9pm on Friday, November 18. Tickets are $15, $20 & $25.

Toronto-based hip-hopster Tory Lanez rolls into the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park on Tuesday, December 6, in support of his debut album, I Told You. Opening the show at 8pm will be Jacquees, Kranium, Kurt Rockmore and DJ VeeCee. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $20 in advance; $24 at the door.

Yes, there’s live music at Albany’s Madison Theater in addition to films. New additions to the Madison’s schedule include Beatles tribute band Hey Jude…The Tribute (paired with a screening of “The Rutles”) at 7pm on Friday, October 28 ($20) and the folk-rock duo of Mike + Ruthy at 8pm on Saturday, November 19 ($20).

POSTPONED: The performance by comedian Marc Maron – originally scheduled for the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall on on Friday, October 14 – has been postponed til spring.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: A Place for Jazz announced its fall concert schedule, which includes the Steve Kroon Latin Jazz Sextet (Friday, September 23), Denise Donatelli (Friday, October 7), Joe Barna & Sketches of Influence (Friday, October 21) and the Christian Jacob Trio (Friday, November 4).

Up in Saratoga Springs, the Newberry Music Hall has added some new shows to its fall concert calendar, including the Alternate Routes at 9pm on Saturday, October 15 ($15); the Holly & Evan Band on Saturday, October 22 ($TBA); and the return of Probing Digit at 9pm on Saturday, November 26 ($5 in advance; $10 at the door).

Lookin’ for laughs? The Funny Bone in Guilderland has a big line-up of comedians including former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Jay Pharoah (Friday & Saturday, October 7 & 8, $23) and Chris D’Elia of “Undateable” and “Whitney” (Tuesday & Wednesday, November 1 & 2, $30-$50).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Believe it or not, bluegrass legends Del McCoury and David Grisman played their first gig together at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy back in 1966. And they’ll celebrate 50 years of Del & Dawg duo shows back where it all began with a reunion concert at EMPAC at RPI. Priced at $36, $46 & $59, tickets go on sale to the general public at 9am on Friday (September 16).

Team 10 – featuring Jake Paul, Alissa Violet, AJ Mitchell, Alex Lange, Stan Gerards, Lucas Dobre, Marcus Dobre and maybe Neels Visser – makes a tour stop at Lucky Strike Social’s Jupiter Hall in Guilderland on Tuesday, October 25. Doors open at 5:30pm, and tickets are $25.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: There’s a strong line-up of ’60s hitmakers – Darlene Love, Bobby Rydell, Freddy “Boom Boom” Cannon and Lou Christie – on tap for the upcoming Golden Oldies Spectacular concert at Proctors in Schenectady.

The five-piece Guy Mendilow Ensemble performs the songs and stories of the Sephardic Jews in concert at Union College’s Memorial Chapel in Schenectady at 7:30pm on Thursday (September 15). Tickets are $15.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Irish music and dance group Cherish the Ladies are bringing their “Celtic Christmas” concert to the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall.

The Rev Tor Band & Friends will perform “The Last Waltz Live,” a re-creation of The Band’s classic concert film at the Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield at 8pm on Friday, November 25. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $27.50.

OPENERS: Muddy Magnolias have been tapped to open for the Record Company at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock on Monday, October 17… New York-based singer, songwriter, musician and producer Jon Bellion is touring in support of his full-length debut, The Human Condition, as the opening act for Twenty One Pilots, who land at the Times Union Center in Albany at 7pm on Wednesday, January 25.
