The Buffalo-born Goo Goo Dolls returned to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center recently for another of their semi-regular visits to the Spa City amphitheater. And, yes, they’ve come a long way since the days they were bangin’ out their early, raw, punk-metal tunes at 288 Lark…

Still led by co-founding members John Rzeznik (vocals, guitar) and Robby Takac (vocals, bass), the band is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and their SPAC concert served not only as something of a career retrospective, but also as a showcase for selections from their new album, Boxes, released in May.
