Robert Randolph & the Family Band are slated to roar into Club Helsinki in Hudson

In Hudson, Club Helsinki has been pumping up its concert calendar for the summer, recently adding the double-bill of Deradoorian and Emily Ritz at 9pm Saturday, May 28 ($10); Ruby Amanfu at 8pm Sunday, June 5 ($15 in advance; $20 at the door; a benefit for Animalkind featuring the Skivvies at 8pm Friday, July 15 ($20; $60 VIP); the return of Alejandro Escovedo at 8pm Sunday, July 24 ($25 & $30); Shakey Graves with Streets of Laredo at 8pm Tuesday, July 26 ($25 & $35); and Robert Randolph & the Family Band at 9pm Friday August 5 ($45 & $65).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Three new concerts have been announced for the Troy Savings Bank Music HallVaud & the Villains, Black Violin and bluegrass greats the Gibson Brothers. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Monday (May 23).

Veteran southern blues-rocker Tinsley Ellis takes over The Linda in Albany at 8pm on Monday, July 18, for a concert sponsored by the Capital Region Blues Network. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $15.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Brooklyn cosmic-rock trio Dreamers are playing the inaugural concert at the Upper Room, a new downtown Albany music venue located on the second floor of the former Jillian’s building. The Young Wild and AudioDamn! open the show.

The Looking For America Tour, featuring Switchfoot and Relient K as co-headliners, is slated to make a stop at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park at 7:30pm on Thursday, October 13. Support acts TBA. Priced at $30 in advance; $33 at the door, tickets go on sale to the general public at 9am on Friday (May 20).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Relocating from the Green Island Bridge parking lot to Troy’s Riverfront Park this summer, the Rockin’ On the River concert series will kick off with the Talking Heads tribute band Start Making Sense.

“Early Morning Rain,” “If You Could Read My Mind,” “Carefree Highway,” “Sundown,” “(That’s What You Get) For Lovin’ Me,” “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,” “Canadian Railroad Trilogy,” “Ribbon Of Darkness,” “Beautiful,” “Song for a Winter’s Night,” “Rainy Day People”… Gordon Lightfoot’s “The Legend Lives On…” tour lands at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton at 8pm on Thursday, September 15. Priced at $49.50 and $65, tickets go on sale on Friday (May 20).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Relocating from Jennings Landing in the Corning Preserve to Tricentennial Park for the summer, Albany’s Albany at Five concert series will play host to Dr. John & the Nite Trippers, the Joy Formidable, Tony! Toni! Tone!, the Chronicles, Enter the Haggis, Bloc Party, LoCash, Molly Hatchet, Jocamo, Good Fiction, Tameka Amar, Thump Gospel, Hair of the Dog, Titanics, Skeeter Creek and Tumbleweed Highway. All performances are free.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Palace Theatre announced two new concerts on Monday – 3 Doors Down with Pop Evil and Red Sun Rising, as well as the double-bill of pop singer-songwriters Gavin DeGraw and Andy Grammer. Tickets for both shows will go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (May 20).

CANCELLED: The Jazzstock concert by Senegalese percussionist Abdou Mboup and his band Waakaw, which was originally scheduled for Saturday (May 21) at the Woodstock Community Center, has been cancelled. Ticket refunds are available at the place of purchase.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: ’90s power-popsters Gin Blossoms will be headlining the annual Schenectady County SummerNight festival in downtown Schenectady. Also performing on the Main Stage at the free, one-night-only fest will be Stockade Kids and Moriah Formica.

OPENERS: Sonya Kitchell has been added as the opening act for Holly Miranda at Club Helsinki in Hudson at 9pm on Friday, June 10… Also at Club Helsinki, the trio of Haas Kowert Tice will open for Aoife O’Donovan at 7pm on Sunday, July 17.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The line-up of bands has been announced for the ninth annual, one-day-only WILDWOODstock benefit fest at the Parting Glass in Saratoga Springs.
