Albany’s Alive at Five Concerts Move to Tricentennial Park

As we announced a couple of weeks ago, $5 million project of major renovations to Albany’s Corning Riverfront Park (formerly know at the Corning Preserve) is already underway, and the construction is expected to last all summer long, which means that the free annual Thursday evening Alive at Five concert series will be displaced from its usual location, the Jennings Landing amphitheater.

The big question is, “So where will Alive at Five go?”

And the answer is, “Back to Broadway, next to Tricentennial Park at the corner of Broadway and Columbia Street, where Alive at Five concerts were previously held from 1991-2003.” Alive at Five is expected to return to the the Corning Riverfront Park in 2017.

Meanwhile, this summer’s 27th season of Alive at Five will feature eight concerts, all held at 5pm on Thursdays between June 9 and August 4. And the schedule of bands is expected to be announced later today (Monday, May 16).
