MUSIC: Rory Block @ Valatie Community Theatre, Valatie. Queen of the Acoustic Blues plays an all-too-rare hometown-ish concert. 8pm. $25.

MUSIC: Rosanne Cash @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Combining influences from country, folk, pop, blues and more, the Grammy Award-winner was an Americana artist before there even was such a term. She’s just been inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, has recorded 15 albums and has charted 21 Top 40 country singles, eleven of which reached No. 1. Accompanied by her husband-guitarist-producer-so-songwriter John Lenenthal. 9pm.

MUSIC: Phil Woods Memorial Concert @ Barrington Stage Company, Pittsfield. The tribute concert features a gathering of the late saxmaster’s quintet, with Brian Lynch (trumpet), Bill Mays (piano), Steve Gilmore (bass) and Bill Goodwin (drums) joined by Woods’ protégé Grace Kelly on alto saxophone. 8pm. $25, $30 & $35.
