May 13th, 2016, 11:00 am by Greg

The annual Schenectady County SummerNight will return to downtown Schenectady in July. The free summertime, family-friendly block party will be held from 5-10pm on Friday, July 15, on State Street between Broadway and Barrett Street and on the Jay Street Pedestrian Mall.

The celebration will feature food, sand sculpture, games, children’s activities and, of course, live musical performances. Headlining the big bash will be ’90s power-popsters the Gin Blossoms, who will take over the GE Main Stage at 8:30pm. The night will be capped off with a fireworks display.
