IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Egg announced Josh Ritter & the Royal City Band will be returning this summer for a concert in the Hart Theatre. Tickets are currently on sale.

Aaron Dessner of indie-rock heroes The National will host Good Food for Hudson, a benefit concert at Club Helsinki in Hudson at 7pm on Wednesday, May 25. The show will find Dessner – who now calls Columbia County home – teaming with a group of musical friends. Performers throughout the evening’s festivities include Lisa Hannigan, Buke & Gase, Patrick Higgins and Dessner’s National bandmate Scott Devendorf, who will DJ a special set of tracks from the upcoming Grateful Dead tribute album, Day of the Dead. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $50, $75 & $125.

Veteran indie rockers the Feelies are returning to BSP Lounge in Kingston at 8:30pm on Saturday, July 16. Tickets are now on sale, priced at $25. Among the many other primo shows coming up at BSP lounge are Satellite Paradiso featuring John Ashton of the Psychedelic Furs at 8pm on Wednesday, June 8 ($10); Kristin Kontrol (formerly known as Dee Dee of Dum Dum Girls) at 8:30pm on Wednesday, June 15 ($10 in advance; $12 at the door); the Paul Green Rock Academy with Gibby Haynes of the Butthole Surfers at 7pm on Friday, July 1 ($20 in advance; $25 at the door); and Club d’Elf with John Medeski at 8:30pm on Friday, July 15 ($15 in advance; $20 at the door).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The inaugural two-day New York Rock N’ Roots Festival is headed into Charles Wood Park in Lake George with a line-up that includes Rick Derringer, Badfish, Jocelyn & Chris Arndt, Peter Prince & Moon Boot Lover, New Kingston, Roots Rhythm & Dub, Dr. Jah & the Love Prophets and Brian LaPoint & the Joints. Tickets are now on sale.

It’s a Tenor Madness Sax Summit as Ralph LaLama and Lee Russo go horn-to-horn in concert at the Van Dyck in Schenectady at 8pm on Saturday, June 4. Rounding out the quartet will feature the Bopitude rhythm section of Michael Benedict on drums and Mike Lawrence on bass. Tickets are now on sale, priced at $15.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Led by longstanding guitarist Steve Howe, the current incarnation of prog-rock pioneers Yes will be stepping into the spotlight at The Egg’s Hart Theatre this summer. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 11am on Friday (May 13).

Veteran sludge-rockers the Melvins invade Pearl Street in Northampton for a concert at 8:30pm on Saturday, August 27. Tickets go on sale on Friday (May 13), priced at $20 in advance; $25 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Don’t fear the Reaper! Blue Oyster Cult has been announced as the headliner for the third annual American Music Festival for the Lake at Lake George’s Charles Wood Park.

In honor of what would have been Levon Helm’s 76th birthday, the Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock is hosting a tribute concert at 8pm on Friday, May 27, featuring guitarist Jimmy Vivino, the Midnight Ramble Horns, Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys and more special guests. Tickets are currently available for $95 (standing room) and $125 (seating).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Looking ahead to 2017, Twenty One Pilots are scheduled to land at Albany’s Times Union Center. The indie rock duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun is bringing their Emotional Roadshow Tour to town in support of their new album, Blurryface. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 12noon on Friday (May 13).

The Low Anthem make a tour stop at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton at 7pm on Monday, June 20. Tickets go on sale on Friday, priced at $15 in advance; $20 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Guitar great David Bromberg was just at The Egg for a belated big band birthday concert, but he’s already booked a return engagement to Greater Nippertown, this time with his quintet at Skidmore College’s Zankel Music Center in Saratoga Springs. Tickets are currently on sale.

Burnell Pines and the Grape & the Grain are teaming up for a double-bill of Catskill rockin’ at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock at 9pm on Friday, June 17. Tickets are $10 in advance; $12 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Country crossover hitmakers Florida Georgia Line are returning to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center this summer, and they’re bringing along Cole Swindell, the Cadillac Three and Kane Brown. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (May 13).

Sarah Kilborne’s Lavender Blues brings a showcase of pre-WWII queer music to The Linda in Albany at 8pm on Saturday, June 17. Tickets are $20.
